in my world that indicates that there could be some other way to 'tie' the formats to the scanner paper-size menu - but how? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.After you apply the December 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 or the update rollup for Windows RT, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012, Custom Media Size entries are missing in the Print Capabilities document for version 4.0 printer drivers. There is one 'hint' (being an old mainframe-programmer, I interpret it that way) - it appears that all paper formats that included with the pull down menu are 'locked' in the sense that I cannot change the Paper Size for those formats in the 'Print server properties' menu - all others are availble to manipulate.
I tried the same way using a couple of other applications with image import facilites, such as Microsoft Live,, etc. The 'Paper Size' menu then becomes available, and displays a lot of (unnecessay for me) formats, but the one I defined in 'Devices and Printers' > (highlight device) > 'Print server properties' does still not appear. 'Devices and Printers' > (highlight device) > 'Start scan' > (select source=feeder from the drop down menu). I used the most basic of all ways, I presume: 1. Definitely not a menu on the device - nor any specific scanner-software.
